Before & aftercare

Take care of your glow

What to do before and after your treatment — so you get the best possible result.

Micro / Nano needling

Full instructions
  1. After a micro-needling treatment the skin may start to flake. This is a positive sign: it indicates the production of new skin cells. The flaking usually disappears within a few days.
  2. In rare cases temporary side effects can occur, such as hyper- or hypopigmentation, crusting or small blisters. These usually resolve on their own.
  3. Avoid strong sunlight for up to four weeks after the treatment. If necessary, use a sunscreen with a high UV protection factor.
  4. The treated area may be covered with make-up, provided the right products are used. Ask your specialist for advice.
  5. The optimal result only becomes visible after several weeks or months; skin recovery takes time. A course of treatments is recommended.
  6. Avoid hot showers, sauna, exercise, swimming and sunbathing during the first 24 hours after the treatment.
  7. Do not wax or epilate the treated area during the course of treatments.
  8. After the treatment the skin may look red or develop small red dots. This is normal and usually disappears within a few days.
  9. Four hours after the treatment the skin may be cleansed with a mild cleanser (suitable for sensitive skin), after which a nourishing, hydrating cream can be applied. Ask your specialist which products suit you best.
  10. Do not scratch the treated skin.

2B Bio Peeling

Full instructions
  1. Adequate hydration — Drink 1.5 to 2 litres of water a day to help your body flush out waste. Too little water can lead to skin impurities, headaches and red, irritated skin. Good hydration is especially important in the period after the treatment.
  2. Use of 2B Bio Beauty products — These are recommended for faster, better-looking results and to minimise the risk of allergic reactions.
  3. Avoid sunbathing — After a 2B Biopeeling the skin renews itself and is extra sensitive to sunlight. Avoid sunbathing for the first 10 days to prevent overpigmentation and other skin complications. A biopeeling right before a sunny holiday is therefore not recommended.
  4. Sun protection — Finish your daytime routine with 2B Bio defense to protect the skin against free radicals and harmful external influences.
  5. Exfoliating when flaking — When light flaking appears, usually 3 to 4 days after the treatment, the skin may be gently exfoliated with 2B Gommage. Afterwards, apply a mask suited to your skin type.

Sugaring — hair removal

We recommend an appointment every 4 to 6 weeks. Your skin gets used to sugaring, hair growth slows down and your results stay beautiful.

Before your treatment

  1. Please shower or freshen up before your sugaring treatment.
  2. Do not apply self-tanner, body spray, deodorant or other creams before your appointment.
  3. If you have been shaving, allow 2 to 3 weeks of growth (about 5 mm).
  4. Plan your sugaring 2 to 3 days before a beach or poolside day.
  5. No tanning beds, hot tubs or saunas before your appointment.
  6. Exfoliate the area gently 24 hours beforehand: it removes dead skin cells and gives a cleaner result.
  7. Drink plenty of water before your appointment; it helps open the pores.
  8. Worried about the pain? Take a paracetamol or ibuprofen 20 minutes before your appointment.
  9. Wear loose, comfortable clothing to prevent irritation after your treatment.

After your treatment

  1. Everyone reacts differently to sugaring. If this is your first time, take extra good care of your skin afterwards.
  2. Heightened sensitivity can last 24 to 48 hours. A cold compress soothes the skin; hydrocortisone cream reduces redness and irritation.
  3. No tanning, sunbathing, hot tubs or saunas for 48 hours. A layer of dead skin cells has been removed, so sun and heat can burn the skin.
  4. Avoid hot baths and exercise for 2 hours after your treatment.
  5. Sensitive skin may show minor breakouts or rashes. Sugaring temporarily enlarges the hair follicles, so bacteria on the skin can get in and cause irritation. Keep the area clean, and have any infection looked at by a doctor as soon as possible.
  6. We have serums and mild sugar scrubs to maintain your results, treat breakouts and prevent ingrown hairs — to be used from 48 hours after your sugaring.
